The school opened its door to students in 1979 under the then Head Mr. Don Williams.
Between 1979 and 1986, the school had four class room put up by parents. Between 1986 and 1991, two (2) classrooms and an administration block were put up by parents, with four more classrooms being put up from a donation by the Australian High Commission (Nairobi). Later a dormitory funded by rural development fund was put up. Recently (2003 – 2007) the Parents Teachers Association has constructed a dining hall and two more classrooms.
The government funded Constituency Development Fund has also put up a modern school laboratory. The PTA installed electric power last year (2007).
